Calls for proposals for papers, workshops and posters for ICICTE 2020

Papers

This call is for papers for plenary sessions examining the theoretical and practical applications of technology in education at all levels in both the public and private sectors. All proposals and papers are peer reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee. If you wish to present at ICICTE 2020 and have your paper published in the conference proceedings submit your proposal.

Proposals must be submitted by February 14, 2020 (extended to March 10). Each proposal will be double-blind reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Notification on whether the proposal has been accepted will be sent soon after receipt of the proposal. Please submit your proposal HERE.

Completed manuscripts must be submitted by May 31, 2020 (extended from March 29, 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis) to the conference director (nancypyrini@icicte.org), and will be double-blind peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Comments will be forwarded to the authors, and final manuscripts, with editorial changes, must be received by June 15, 2020. Papers presented at the conference will be published in the proceedings under the title Information Communication Technologies in Education. Papers received after the deadline will not be included in the proceedings.

Papers must not exceed 10 pages (including abstract, references, tables, figures and diagrams). Papers exceeding the stated limits will be returned to the authors for revision. Please consult the Manuscript Preparation Guidelines to be found on the conference web site before submitting the final version of your paper.

Completed manuscripts must be sent by e-mail to Ms Nancy Pyrini at nancypyrini@icicte.org according to the deadlines provided in the notification letters.

Please make sure that you read the MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION GUIDELINES before you prepare your manuscript. The guidelines can be downloaded in Microsoft Word format HERE. A video explaining the process can be viewed HERE.

Workshops

We would also like to invite you to submit proposals for workshops to be run during the conference. Workshops will be 1½ - 2 hours long and should be designed to achieve a high level of audience participation; for this reason, team facilitation and interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged. Topics may range from theory to issues related to application of concepts and tools presented in keynote and plenary sessions (e.g. international and cross cultural issues; display and application of tools; curriculum design; evaluation).

Your workshop proposal must include:

● title of session

● names of facilitators

● workshop objectives

● methods

● a brief (150 words) outline

● optimum number of participants

● space requirements and

● special equipment needed.

Proposals must be received by May 31, 2020. Fill in the form HERE. If the conference is held in blended or virtual mode, virtual collaboration spaces will be used. In such cases, all online sessions will be recorded and made available at the conference website for free.

Posters

We are also pleased to invite you to submit your proposal for the Poster Session of the conference.

An award will be given to the best poster presented. An adjudicating panel of four ICICTE committee members will decide the winner based on content and presentation.

Posters should be set up on the first day of the conference and will remain on display throughout the conference. Authors must be present at their poster station during the scheduled poster session and prepared for individualised, informal discussion with participants. The Poster Session will last one hour. The conference will provide a poster board and whatever material is required (push pins, Velcro, etc.) to secure items to the boards.

Each presenter will be assigned to a specific board for his or her presentation. Presenters must prepare all materials in advance and bring all illustrations needed including figures, tables, colour photographs, and/or charts. The material should be well labelled and legible from a distance of 2 metres.

The deadline is May 31, 2020. Fill in the form HERE. If the conference is held in blended or virtual mode, a virtual poster gallery will be created.

Note: Those who require notification of acceptance earlier are invited to submit proposals with a note indicating date by which confirmation is required.
