USING SYNCHRONOUS E-LEARNING TO SUPPORT COMMUNICATION WITH OFFSHORE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

This paper reports upon international offshore studentsí experiences using Elluminate Live! to participate in virtual office hours (VOH) with their Australian unit coordinators. Information on student experience was collected from a combination of reflective data entered into a critical reflective journal and discussions from student focus groups. The participants in this research offered their thoughts regarding the use of VOH and the impact it had on promoting a culturally inclusive academic environment.
