Learning to use Screen Capture Software

Outline
Last year Russell Stannard presented a keynote on using
Screen Capture Software to provide feedback to students on
their written work. Over the years the idea has generated
enormous interest with articles in the newspapers, reports
and journal papers and even an appearance on TV for Russell.
Just recently the Guardian in the UK featured the idea

In this workshop Russell will show you and offer you the
opportunity to learn to use a variety of free screen capture
tools and then go on to look at various ways these tools can
be used. It will provide lots of very practical ideas around
feedback, training and student reflection. This is a session
not to be missed.

Methods
Hands on workshop. You will need your laptop with a wifi
connection. Russell will demonstrate the technologies, get
you using them and then look at practical ways we can make
use of them in the class.

are for education

range of uses
- teach you to use at
least 2 of the most popular screen capture tools with lots
of hands on work

Biography
Russell Stannard is a Principal Lecturer at the University
of Warwick. He was awarded The Times Higher
"Outstanding Initiative in ICT" and the British Council
ELTons award for his website www.teachertrainingvideos.com.
The website provides step by step help videos for teachers
toi incorporate technology into their teaching. In 2012 it
received over 300.000 visitors. Russell trains teachers all
over the world.
